Different calculation specifications
Since January 2015, the calculations of the data presented here have been based on different specifications than before:
Up to and including 2014, all electricity feed-ins generated nationwide and marketed by the transmission system operators (TSOs) or by direct marketers were used to publish the online extrapolation of the actual generation of electricity from offshore wind energy.
Since 2015, the projection has instead been published in accordance with Annex 1, Section 5.1 (relating to Section 23a) of the EEG: The online projection is based on a representative number of measured reference plants and, in accordance with the wording of the law, reflects the ‘amount of electricity actually generated’, in this case the supply-dependent amount from offshore wind turbines in quarter-hourly resolution. Reductions in the feed-in capacity of the plants on which the projection is based are not taken into account in the projection: Electricity quantities that have not been generated due to a remote-controlled reduction in feed-in capacity by the grid operator or direct marketer are therefore still included in the online projection.
A comparison of the figures before and after the turn of the year 2014/2015 is therefore only possible to a limited extent and taking into account the different calculation specifications from the respective underlying EEG.
Note on the provisional nature of current data
The values shown are provisional data until the publication of the energy source-specific market values for the respective month. In the course of the market value calculation, the extrapolation is checked again and corrected if necessary before being published at the beginning of the following month.
The projections can only be downloaded, both via a programming interface (API) and here, once these market values have been published.
