In the published transaction data, remuneration categories ("VGK") are provided in the "Remuneration category" column without the use of so-called "collective categories", which were still used until 2020. The collective categories provided information on whether data on market premium payments related to certain months (Jan-Dec ending of the VGK) or special types of marketing form, in particular tenant electricity surcharge ("MSZ") or default remuneration ("AV"). This information has been replaced in favor of the remuneration categories defined with a value to be applied. The values to be applied and theoretical remuneration entitlements can therefore be tracked more transparently and mathematically for each VGK and output line.
To clarify the above information, you will also find the "Month" column in the data packages for each remuneration line. The month column is used to show the month to which the market premium determined for each calendar month and its electricity quantity relates (possibly mathematically negative in the case of very high market prices and balanced by so-called additional balancing categories). If there is no monthly allocation of this information, a zero entry with the value "0" is shown.
For further information on the remuneration categories, please refer to the relevant publications.
We also refer to the breakdown in the "Form of disposal" column. The following forms are included here: "Feed-in tariff", "Market premium", "Tenant electricity surcharge", "Default remuneration" and "Other". The "Other" column includes the following items: other direct marketing, non-remunerated self-consumption, value compensation for subsidized installations, flexibility premium, avoided grid fees, municipal shareholdings and project security contributions.
Please also note that the csv files sometimes contain more lines than the maximum number that can be displayed in spreadsheet software (such as Microsoft Excel). The surplus lines are ignored by Excel without any indication. It is therefore recommended that you use alternative database applications to process the complete contents of the csv files.
