EEG medium-term forecast until 2009 (in German)

The German transmission system operators have forecast the possible development of electricity volumes eligible for subsidisation under the Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG) for remuneration payments up to 2015. The forecast is based on the current subsidy conditions of the EEG as amended on 1 January 2009. For the years 2008 and 2009, the current extrapolation values (as at 9 January 2009 and 8 May 2009 respectively) have been included in the forecast. For the years up to 2007, the annual billing data is given. In accordance with the practice of passing on the EEG electricity from the transmission system operators to the distributors (EEG profile rollover), the amount of final consumption subject to the EEG, including sales to privileged final consumers in accordance with Sections 40 - 44, is also forecast up to 2015 and average annual EEG quotas and average tariffs are calculated from this. Possible future legislative changes were not taken into account. The figures represent non-binding forecast values that reflect the probable development of EEG-relevant data up to 2015. The final determination of the quotas and average tariffs relevant for deliveries to the energy supply companies (EVU) in accordance with Section 37 EEG is based on the current monthly forecasts (see EEG monthly forecasts).
