Harmonized activation process

The Harmonized Activation Process (HAP) for a single redispatch request

How can EIVs participate?

To participate in the HAP, the EIV requires software that can process the files and send the corresponding responses back to the TSO. The TSOs provide the RACE (Redispatch Activation Client) for this purpose. This application is free of charge for the EIV. Further information on the RACE application can be found below.

However, an EIV is also free to develop its own solution for the coordination processes. The EIV is responsible for ensuring that its own software solutions function properly. To this end, the process description and the attached format specifications must be strictly adhered to. Planning and further development must always be coordinated with the connecting TSO.

The commissioning of EIVs always takes place in consultation with the connecting TSO and is accompanied by extensive integration and functional tests. The TSOs recommend using RACE, which has already been successfully tested in operation by a large number of EIVs. Furthermore, the TSOs provide support for further developments and security updates.
