EEG system master data

The grid operators obliged to purchase and pay remuneration report the system master data to the transmission system operators (TSOs) as part of the annual settlement under the German Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG) - you can download the data for 2022 here.

During a year, there may be decommissionings during the year as well as grid transitions between two grid operators, resulting in duplicate entries of the system codes. In general, the master data reflects the status as at 31.12.2022 or the day of decommissioning or grid transfer.

Note: For the 50Hertz control area, the grid operators only reported the installations for the 2022 calendar year if installations were or are not yet recorded in the Market Master Data Register (MaStR). The plant data recorded and retrievable in the MaStR as of 31.07.2023 is shown in the plant master data provided.

The files also include the systems connected directly or indirectly (i.e. not via other grid operators) to the transmission system operators' grids.

For data protection reasons, the exact address (street and house number) is not given for systems with an installed capacity of up to 30kW.

Please also note that the csv files sometimes contain more lines than the maximum number that can be displayed in spreadsheet software (such as Microsoft Excel). The excess lines are ignored by Excel without any indication. It is therefore recommended that you use alternative database applications to process the complete contents of the csv files.

EEG system master data for the 2022 annual statement

The system master data reported to the transmission system operators for the 2022 annual statement is available for download as a file.

The file contains the master data of all EEG installations that were reported by the DSOs to the TSOs as part of the 2022 EEG annual report. This may result in decommissioning during the year as well as grid transitions between two grid operators, resulting in double entries of the plant codes. In general, the master data reflects the status as at 31.12.2022 or the day of decommissioning or grid disconnection.

The files also contain the systems directly or indirectly connected to the transmission system operators' grids. For data protection reasons, the street and house number are not specified for systems with an installed capacity of less than 30 kW.
